Greenwich House Pottery is pleased to announce MADE IN CLAY, an Annual Handmade Holiday Sale taking place in our charming 1928 brick walk up at 16 Jones Street in the heart of Greenwich Village.
This sale presents a diverse range of ceramic works including functional pottery, sculptures and other small objects perfect for gifts or keepsakes. With over fifty participating artists, MIC offers one of the largest, most diverse displays of ceramics in Manhattan and surrounding areas. Sip a glass of wine while you stroll through Greenwich House Pottery. It is a great place to start your holiday shopping.
Every MIC artist holds a unique story. Leading up to MIC will be a series of short interviews shared through our MIC Facebook page, highlighting each artist’s fascination with the material. Join us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/madeinclay2016 to learn about the artists and get a sneak peek at some of the work in the sale.
Concurrently, the Jane Hartsook Gallery (located on the first floor) will be exhibiting ceramic work by Maggie Finlayson and Tom Jaszczak. Finlayson builds earthenware vessels that emulate minimalist forms and quiet personality. Jaszczak creates wheel-thrown vessels that accentuate the use of line, form and primary colors, gesturing towards the function of each piece.
