JULY 2016

RE:  CUSTER FELDSPAR CHANGES

STANDARD CERAMIC SUPPLY HAS RECENTLY LEARNED THAT 200 MESH CUSTER FELDSPAR WILL AGAIN BE AVAILABLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, STANDARD WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE 325 MESH IN THEIR PRODUCTION.

JULY 2015 – FROM STANDARD CERAMIC SUPPLY COMPANY

If you use custer feldspar and/or the following clay bodies: 112, 130, 153 192, 205, 211, 225, 240, 240G,257, 259, 306, 378, 437, 508, 621, 760, 762 and 768, please read!
Our Custer feldspar supplier, Pacer Corporation, has informed us that they will terminate production of 200 mesh feldspar and exclusively produce 325 mesh feldspar on July 1, 2015. We expect that this change will slightly affect absorption and shrinkage rates. We will post the new data as soon as we finish testing. We strongly suggest that users do glaze fit tests.  For a material analysis of Custer feldspar, click here.   See the new shrinkage and absorption rates of clays made with 325 Mesh Custer Feldspar.
